Graduate courses
The group is involved in several teaching activities at the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB). Subjects given by the members of the group include animal physiology, comparative animal physiology, biotechnology in physiology, animal life, basic physiological biochemistry and aquaculture, in the following careers: Biology, Environmental Sciences, Biochemistry and Biotechnology.
Master Courses and Phd programmes
The group has been involved in several specialized courses related to AQUACULTURE, STRESS or IMMUNOLOGY, and is also one of the components of the committee that organizes the Doctoral Programme in Aquaculture, organized in collaboration among three universities of the Barcelona area (UAB, UB, UPC) and including specialists from various universities and research centers (CSIC and IRTA).
International Master in Aquaculture. This is a well known international Master organized by the Univ. of Las Palmas and the Instituto Canario de Ciencias Marinas ICCM (Canary Islands, Spain) in which a wide range of worldwide specialists give the courses. The students have also to prepare and present a masters thesis.
Master in Aquaculture. The Master in Aquaculture is mainly addressed to current bachelors (4/5 year studies at the university), graduates (3 year studies at the university) or technical engineers that wish to have a proper formation in aquaculture. It is expected to train prepared professionals for this sector with a high scientific level, with control of multidisciplinary techniques, who are able to take responsibilities in direction and management.
Aqualabs. The Aqualabs courses have been designed to take into account the differing needs of higher aquaculture education of several European Institutions and involve the culmination between academic institutions in Europe at the forefront of aquaculture research within their respective fields. They are hold in different countries in Europe and it is the result of issues highlighted and developed by the AquaTT for aquaculture tertiary education.
Aulas del Mar. The University of Murcia (Spain) organizes a series of courses and events in many scientific and cultural areas in the frame of Aulas del Mar. Amongst them, there are two courses related to Aquaculture hold in Cartagena in which spanish specialists give their approaches in their area of expertise. Visits to Research or Production Centers are also included.
